Governance and staking
Staking LEV7 gives you voting power over what the LEV7 Community Vault trades each week, and earns you more ALLO points.
LEV7's governance function is direct: stakers decide, week by week, what the LEV7 Community Vault trades.
Staking does two things at once. It moves your tokens from the 1× bucket into the 2× bucket, and it gives you a say in the strategy the vault runs.
Participate, by voting or by delegating, and your staked tokens get a 3× bonus.
Opening a position
A stake needs at least 7,777 LEV7. You can hold up to seven staking positions at a time.
There are two ways to stake:
Instant. Your stake activates straight away when you stake through the LEV7 website.
Queued. You can call the staking contract from any interface. Your stake waits for a keeper to process it. If nothing happens within seven days, you can take it back yourself.
Staking locks and multipliers
When you stake, you choose a lock: none, or anywhere from 7 to 70 days.
| Lock | Voting power |
|---|---|
| None | 1× |
| 7 days | 1.9× |
| 35 days | 5.5× |
| 70 days | 10× |
The multiplier is a straight line from 1× at no lock to 10× at 70 days, so each day of lock is worth another 0.129×. It applies while the lock runs, and drops back to 1× the moment it expires.
Note what the multiplier does and doesn't touch. It multiplies your voting power. It doesn't multiply your points; points come from the multipliers and the bonuses.
Unstaking
When your lock expires, it starts a seven-day cooldown after which you can withdraw.
A cooling position still earns the 2× staking bucket, but it stops earning the stake-size bonus.
Delegation
If you'd rather not vote every week, delegate. Your voting power moves to whoever you pick, and your tokens still land in the 3× bucket as long as, because delegating counts as participating.
A delegate can reject a delegation they don't want, and can drop a delegator whose power has gone to zero.
Voting
Voting is a commitment recorded on-chain: one per proposal, signed, and final. You can't vote twice on the same proposal, and you can't vote without active voting power.
What you're voting on is the weekly rebalancing strategy: how the vault's capital is allocated across a cash position and the MAG 7 markets, with weights summing to 100%.
Once a week's rebalance is settled, it's handed to the trading system and applied.
The weekly scorecard
At the end of each week, the community's strategy is settled on-chain against a passive benchmark account run over the same period. That settlement is what decides the 7% performance bonus in Points and rewards, the community's reward for improving its own strategy.
Clearing the bar means beating the benchmark's return by at least the larger of 1% of the benchmark's own move and 10 basis points.
The verdict is computed and published on-chain. How the measurement works, precisely →
